How is a private charter different from a boat tour ticket?
A boat tour ticket puts you on a shared boat with other bookings, on a schedule the operator sets. A private charter is the opposite: one group, one boat, and the plan is yours within your booked hours. Nobody outside your party comes aboard.
That difference shows up before you even leave the dock. A ticketed tour has a fixed departure time and a route that doesn't change for one group's request. A private charter starts when your group is ready, within the window you've booked, and the captain can build the route around what you actually want to see, inside the charter area.
It also changes who you're sharing the boat with. On a ticketed tour, other passengers you've never met are booked onto the same trip, often to fill capacity the operator sells separately. On a private charter, every guest aboard is someone you invited, and the guest count you're paying for is the guest count you actually bring.
Do we need to know which yacht we want before we message you?
No. Most groups tell us their date, guest count and rough budget, and we suggest one or two boats from the fleet that fit, rather than the other way around. Browsing all 20 yachts first is optional, not required.
That order works better in practice, because guest count and length don't move together in a simple line: some 52-foot boats carry 17 guests, others carry only 8, depending on layout. Starting from the boat name can point you at the wrong size for your group. Starting from the headcount gets you to the right one faster.
Where does a private charter start from, and what's in view?
Mostly from Dubai Harbour. Eighteen of our 20 yachts dock there, with one boat based at Dubai Marina and one at Jewel of the Creek. Which marina your charter leaves from depends on which boat fits your group.
Dubai Harbour sits on the same shoreline as Palm Jumeirah, with Bluewaters, Ain Dubai and Atlantis visible from the water and Burj Al Arab further along the coast. We haven't measured exact routes or sailing times between these landmarks, so we won't invent a schedule for you. What we can do is tell the captain what you'd like to see, and the route gets built around that within your booked hours.
What happens after we message you?
We match your dates and group size to a specific boat from the fleet, confirm the rate and the slot with that boat's operator, and come back to you with the details. Nothing is booked before you've seen the actual price for the actual boat, not an estimate for a boat we haven't checked.
That confirmation step matters more on a private charter than on a shared ticket, because the boat, the captain and the schedule are all being set around your group specifically, rather than slotted into a schedule that already exists for other passengers. We aim to reply within two hours; the operator confirmation can take a little longer depending on the date and how far ahead you're asking.

- What does 'private' actually mean here?
- The whole boat is chartered for your group only. No other guests come aboard, and the schedule is built around your booking window, not a shared tour timetable that other passengers are also on.
- Can we choose our own route?
- Yes, within the charter area and your booked hours. Tell the captain what you want to see and the route is built around that, rather than a fixed loop that runs the same way for every group that books the boat.

- It depends on the yacht: our fleet carries between 8 and 60 guests. Tell us your group size and we'll match you with a boat sized for it, or a larger partner boat if your group is bigger than what we run ourselves.
- What's the minimum booking?
- Two hours, the same across the fleet, from the smallest boat we run to the largest. Ask early if you might want more time than that: whether it's possible on the day depends on whether the boat has another booking right after yours.
