Why choose a catamaran over a yacht?

Deck space, mostly. The Ozone carries up to 40 guests at 55 feet, while our single-hull yachts around that same length, the Azimut 8ofUs and Azimut My Choice, both also 55 feet, carry 20. Two hulls give a catamaran a wide, flat deck that a monohull yacht of the same length can't match, which is what lets it take roughly double the guests.

The other difference is motion. A catamaran sits more stable at anchor, with less roll than a single-hull boat, since the two hulls resist tipping the way one hull doesn't. For a group that wants to move around, stand and mingle rather than stay seated, that stability matters as much as the extra deck space.

How many catamarans do you have?

One. The Ozone is the only catamaran in our fleet of 20 boats, 19 of which are single-hull motor yachts. If your date is already booked, or you need a second catamaran for a bigger event, we look at partners in Dubai rather than pretend we have more than the one.

That's worth knowing upfront rather than after you've picked a date: a fleet of one boat means less flexibility than the rest of the site, where most groups pick from several yachts of a similar size. Message us early, especially for a weekend, and we'll confirm availability before you plan around it.

Where does the catamaran depart from?

Jewel of the Creek, the only boat in our fleet based there. The rest of the fleet, 18 boats, docks at Dubai Harbour, with one more yacht at Dubai Marina, so the Ozone's departure point is different from almost everything else we run.

We haven't measured routes or run times from that departure point, so we won't invent a schedule. Once you're aboard, the captain builds the route within your booked hours around what the group wants to see.

What's a catamaran actually best for?

A group that wants to stand, move around and mingle rather than stay seated for most of the booking — closer to a yacht party than a quiet dinner for four. The Ozone's deck is wide and flat across both hulls, closer to a floor you can walk than the narrower side decks on a single-hull yacht, so it suits a bigger, more active group best.

The same stability that suits a standing crowd also suits anyone who gets uneasy on the water. Less roll at anchor means less motion to notice in the first place, which matters for guests who don't have much time on boats or get seasick easily on a rolling monohull.

It's less suited to a small, intimate group that wants a quieter, more private feel. At 40 guests of capacity, the Ozone is built for scale, and a couple or a small family often gets more out of one of the smaller single-hull yachts on a standard private charter instead.

What's included on the catamaran, and what isn't?

The same standard list as the rest of the fleet: captain, crew, fuel, soft drinks, ice, towels and a sound system, whether you're on the Ozone or one of the 19 single-hull yachts. Nothing about the boat being a catamaran changes what's covered by the base rate.

Food, alcohol, decoration and water sports sit outside that list the same way they do on every other booking, so budget for those separately if any of them are part of the plan for your group.
